Outlaws Of the Marsh - Chinese Gold & Silver Commemorative Coins

Outlaws of the Marsh Chinese Commemorative Gold Coins China just recently issued a series of beautiful gold and silver coins as well as gold and silver bars based on the famous 14th century literature series - Outlaws of the Marsh. All coins in the collection are legal tender of the People’s Republic of China.

Written in the fourteenth century and based on actual historical events and people, the "Outlaws of the Marsh" tells the story of a group of warriors at the end of the North Song Dynasty. The "Outlaws of the Marsh" collection features well-known characters, like Song Jiang, leader of the bandits; and bold and brave fok heroes like Lu Zhishen, Li Kui, Wu Song and Lin Chong. These heroes banded together on a marsh skirted mountain in what today is Shandong Province, bravely fighting  against arrogant, heartless overlords. The stories of these battles and heroes struck a responsive chord with people, gradually evolving into folk legends.

Now, thanks to the People's Bank of China, these legends will be preserved on beautiful 99.9% pure Gold & Silver coins.These beautiful coins are colorized and come with boxes and certificates of authenticity. Quantities and mintages are limited and are sure to be a favorite with collectors.

There are 5 different colorized coins issued: a 1/3-oz gold coin, two different 1-oz silver coins, one 5-oz gold coin, and one 5-oz silver coin.
