I think the bike is great because it was most likely built in China, and who knows bikes better the several hundred million bike riders.
I do that several times every three or four inches around the circumference of the wheel and then put the air to it again. Vilano Bikes in fact didn't know about the spokes as well and same results with Capitol Cyclery, two seconds later they told me what I needed to know and sold me some spare spokes.
Plus I won't get charged Dollars for assembly and tuning, you know, putting on the front wheel, handlebars and the pedals. They are just pirates.
One of the things I do when inflating tires on my own Flow rims, is that if they don't inflate right away they almost never do is to put my thumbs into the center of the tread and then use the my fingers on each sidewall to pull up and out as I press down with my thumbs.

I'd recommend using a hair dryer or heat gun on low to work the tape into the rim, the center channel is fairly "deep" and the tape needed to be worked down if you want it to be "pretty". Don't get me wrong, they know their stuff. Agree on the "air" trick. SRAM has yet to release their new group offerings for improved alignment with the Boost rear hub and front chainring.
If it didn't, I would probably put on another round or two of tape and go after it again. In addition, the lower attachment point of the rear suspension results in a lower center of gravity with the intention of improving cornering and handling. Read up on all the new components and changes here.

I like this bike better than my Trek. Suspension designs that attach to the top tube require it to be robust enough to handle suspension forces, in addition to an already robust downtube for structural rigidity.
I have a non OSHA no line restriction squeeze handled "air blower", with the valve core removed the " slightly modded" tip fits into the valve The shorter chainstays provided a much more nimble, playful ride, while the slacker headtube angle allowed ruedas black jack xc 29 confident descending over technical terrain.

The powder coating is a nice change of pace compared to the standard paint schemes typically offered in the bike industry. I would expect this to be a much more robust coating, withstanding chipping and scrapes slightly better, though I admittedly avoided testing this aspect on their brand-new bike.
